Getting Older

Everyone is getting older
Step by step I feel
Looking afar behind my shoulder
Is this time for real?
Dreams are always locking the way
Nothing to return to
Here comes yet another day
Both for me and you

Everyone has words to tell
Their thoughts in saying
We are in this moment's spell
Every departure weighing
Anything you do is of past
In its onward going
Hoping it will for sometime last
Though not really knowing

Everyone is just like me
Whishing for their dream to stand
We have ways and liberty
Each at our moment’s command
Yesterdays were once in flowers
Seed by seed they’d grow
Now we have this morning showers
Where shall the future go?
