Stairs to Nowhere by BenHeine Stairs to Nowhere by BenHeine

A photo I took a few days ago at "Pavillon M" in Marseille,
I was there in the frame of "Tour de France Photo 2013"...

I edited this picture in a contrasted and minimalist way
on purpose, I think it goes well with the model's hair :)

The stairs are real. You can view a backstage photo and
a detail at this link. Model: Melody Art.

For me it has an old Sci Fi feel to it, if Sci Fi could be presented in a classy way. Reminds me of this old TV series, The Twilight Zone.  Other than that, I love the flow it gives to the eye and the black and white really sets it off.

I love the optical illusion you created here. The image appears to be 2 dimensional untill the eyes reach the model. She is where all the demention is in the photo. She also works fantastically against the pattern. instinctively the eyes want to fallow the spiral down to its center point, but you reach Melody and the eyes stay there. The instinct to fallow the pattern is put to a complete stop. Beautiful photo, I would love to see you do more optical illusion type of images.
