Jessica was sitting on this bench and looking a bit lonely. Now she is in better company with this mysterious man.
I took this photo in Anderlecht, Belgium, not so long ago... I also made the drawing as usual. This is part of "Pencil Vs Camera Beta Version" (colored drawings on black paper). Drawing on black is a bit more difficult as it is the opposite process of the way I've been drawing since many years.
>>> Review from THE DAILY MAIL for this picture: "A blonde looks away as a male admirer with flowers is left with a broken heart: The artist said he has been deeply influenced by Belgian Surrealism, German Expressionism, American Pop Art and Social Realism" (Matt Blake, The Daily Mail, July 2012) _________________________________________________

Every now again you have one of those "No why didn't I think of that?" moments and such was one of those moments when I first came across Ben's work. My immediate reaction was "Wow! This is so original." I have followed Ben's work with interest and apologise for not always leaving a comment, but I don't always have the time.
This piece is simply beautiful. The hi definition of the original image combined with the hi definition drawing, blend so seemlessly that it's almost like looking through a window of time.
I really hope that Ben comes to have all the success that he deserves.
