Music, music, music... Here is a bird with some electronic power I took the pic and made the sketch as usual. I was sitting outside of a restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal. Several birds came and moved from one chair to another hoping to draw my attention to receive some food (I gave them all my bread). If you wish, you can also view the sketch in progress and some preparatory photos here...
>>> Review from THE DAILY MAIL for this picture: "A bird blares out music from a boombox around his neck: Ben begins by taking a picture of an everyday scene then covers part of the shot with a sketch - transforming the bland backdrops into intriguing scenarios" (Matt Blake, The Daily Mail, July 2012).
Update: See this video showing 18 Pencil Vs Camera images in progress (with a small animation and music). _________________________________________________

You work is so amazing. I love the bright vibrant yellow and blues. They contrast nicely with each other. The dark blue sets off the yellow beautifully. The birds are so cute! The detail in the feathers is just mesmerizing! The bokeh in the background is outstanding! Give the entire picture a magical, whimsical feel to it. I love the pencil drawing too. It's sweet and comical. And brilliantly drawn. Makes me smile. The lighting on here is great. I like how you caught the bokeh circles on the paper as well. How do you do that?
On a side note, I don't use the stars to rate art. I disagree with the idea of using a star system to grade art. I think art is like poetry, it means something different to everyone.
Beautiful work. I love the concept, excellent execution.
If I haven't mentioned it before, I will now. I freaking love you and your art. Not in a creepy way -- in a respective way that says "OMG you are so talented that I am insanely jealous." That pretty much covers it.
