No more violence! This work is dedicated to the 5 killed and
125 wounded people in the recent gun and grenade attack in
Liège (Belgium). Weapons are useless. I ripped the paper and
held it in a different way so that it works with my drawing...

If you wish, you can view the work in progress (part of it)
and some random detail here.

My Pencil Vs Camera works are now featured on CBS News.

(The above picture has been shot with the Samsung NX11)

Update: See THIS VIDEO showing some 18 Pencil
Vs Camera pictures in progress (with original music).

A number of things about this:
First off, I have no idea how you got that to line up like it does. Of course, it's difficult for me to do that stuff because I have some shaky hand syndrome, but still.
Second, this is relevant to far more than just those Belgium shootings, this is relevant to every single man, woman and child in the world today, because everyone is at some point in their lives effected by violence. Not necessarily lethal violence, even verbal violence, video game violence, etcetra.
Third, One thousand three hundred thirty seven thumbs up for the little dude with the rope. The world would be such a better place if there were little dudes like him stopping the guns from firing.
Fourth, the shading is wonderful, and I like how you managed to texture the gun handle. And I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but there is a little sad face in the small circle above the thumb joint.
Fifth, are those white things in the windows security cameras?
Sixth, you are now on my watch list.

An excellent work. I have seen some of your artwork and I am astonished by every new one.
You are a really creative artist and I barely know anyone who would be able to do better than you, at least in the kind of style of you.
The only thing that really didn't please me was the edge of the paper.
For some reason it makes the picture look sort of "oddish" and also in the preview image it didn't look too well.
I'm still looking forward to more by you and I love the way how you express your creativity. My eyes shout "GIVE ME MOREEEEE!"

(By the way, please don't judge about my lacking "professionall" language or anything, I'm a german and my english is not too good..)

No, but I'm not Jesus, and neither are you.

Well, Jesus is a common name in many countries, so how would you know..

"Jesus is a common name in many countries."

Well, if I can meet this Jesus, and he can turn a glass of water into a glass of milk or some other liquid, then I'll concede you're right.

But, here's something to keep in mind-there are times when violence IS the answer. If the United States "turned the other cheek" when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States would cease to exist.

More recently, there was a case where a twelve year-old boy had to kill his stepfather WHO WAS ARMED WITH A SHOTGUN by shooting him in the head. Click here to learn more. If Nicholas Boleware had "turned the other cheek", instead of one dead body, there would have been two dead bodies. At least. As Nicholas Boleware put it, "He ran towards my mom like he was going to strike her. I shot him. I had no other choice." If you have any questions about this story, e-mail Allison Manning at amanning@dispatch.com.

What if YOUR life was in danger? Wouldn't YOU want to live, even if that meant your assailants would get injured or killed?

I can turn water into tea and you don't even want to know what I can turn the tea into afterwards.

Did you realize that your example situations when weapons are needed (in your opinion) wouldn't be real if there were no offensive weapons to begin with? If Japan would have just visited Pearl Harbour without weapons, there wouldn't have been a (proclaimed) reason to drop 2 atomic bombs killing numerous cilians and if his stepfather wouldn't have been armed with a shotgun there wouldn't have been a reason to freaking shoot him.

Civilized people don't need weapons, at least no offensive weapons.
