I've made here a slightly more detailed sketch for this surreal composition on paper. The guy on the right is shown upside down, the head inside the pavement... The smaller tramway called "Gravity" in the upper right corner is overturned (detail here, shown the right way). 12 balls seem to be in weightless conditions. The infinity symbol appears in the distant vanishing point. I took the photo near the Palace of Justice in the centre of Brussels, Belgium. The second title of this image is "This is Not Gravity".

I go my road of fate Stronghold of my day Its cry of timeless debate On to the side way To enter on to the dark Once flowers were in shine A glow like eyes spark A shimmer of soul‘s define
Now here is drop of night In carnations of mystery Dark wings in deep flight Ever so wandering free Taking eyes to somewhere Where silences are black A song of nocturnal somber Never to return back
O tongue of deepest tongue Inside this closing abyss Each night where we long And enter the garnet bliss Fountains of evening veins I cross you mask of bleed To twilight’s coming reins In all your shadows mislead
Never stick your finger In the electric socket Or forget the change inside your pocket Never put your head On the trolley tracks These are the facts It's dangerous to assume You will survive the zoom Of the trolley car To crush you Are you super man I'm sure you can An alibi is handy When you are a puffed up dandy With your head in the tracks And your mind in the cloud For crying out loud Get out of the road You silly toad Because the train is coming Are you in your right mind Is this your trolley Pull your head out of the tracks It's right on time Your trip to Pencil land Is one of a kind...
This work is simply fantastic! It's like looking into a window and seeing a whole other world!
What I like most about this, and what caught my eye, was how easily it overlaps and meshes with the background, despite it obviously being on paper. With a causual glance, you'd swear it was supposed to be there.
The other thing I like is how the photo is a scene of normalcy, but the paper is surreal chaos. The detail in the sketch is beautiful. I keep looking at it trying to find anything I might've missed!
Finally, this, and the others like it in your album, are some of the more original works I've seen here!
This is a great work and I sincerely hope you keep making more art!
Your work always amazes me, no matter how I look at your work, and no matter in what mood I am, this makes me smile everytime and makes me wonder how you just do it.
Everytime you come with new ideas, but if I reckon well you have a thingy for the trams.
What can I say more, just that the pencil wins the camera ! But now I'm wondering have you tryed something on a bigger scale ? - if not, why don't you give it a try and see how it goes. it Would be interesting to see some bigger projects, bigger works, and more speechless people.
Great idea for works! It resembles me those pictures from the past which are placed in the same place they were made so it creates something very positive. I would call it a capture of a moment. And also in that case. Instead of mixing future and past you are connecting reality and imaginary world. I like it very much.
