This is a digital work but sort of "handmade" as I placed each circle individually on a black background.

Each circle is made of a single color and a single tone.

It took me quite a long time to finish the whole portrait...

Recently stumbled across your work - WOW Tbh the negativity on your feed that you are faking things I find irrelevant.

I've actually not got a problem with any artist using reference, (Especially in this instance) because it demands a huge amount of patience and skillset to make this convincing.

I'd be more pissed off if it was a filter that I don't have! :D Inspirational!

I don´t believe you are telling the truth about you making it all by yourself... The eyes look very cut out so I looked the photo up... [link] When I place the two pictures on eachother the eye and mouth parts are precisely identical. [link] Also In your process drawing she starts out with hair infront of her eye as you can see: [link] . And when you progress further the hair dissapears.
Offcourse you could have drawn it on your own, but even if someone would try without reference.. It would be hard to have the exact same proportions as on the photo...

I know you will delete this message or find an excuse.. (I love your work) but please be honest. It isn't that hard..

Exactly what I thought. He is only showing the dots he had at the time, not the photo he had underneath it.

Hmm, nice recipe. This is what I thought.

Of course, the circles have to be put on the different layer, having the photo on the background, which is, I thing, a hard work.
But also I know tht there is a plugin in PS making such (or similar) mosaics automatically, with a lot od options (number, size, shape and distribution of mosaic elements). Suspicion of making it automatically, not by hand, comes from very strictly defined (mathematically) distances between the circles and distribution of smaller ones (almost fractal-like).

But, who may prove it? It still looks nice.

If you zoom in the close up in photoshop, you will see some of the circles near the eye don't have 1 color but have more colors in 1 circle
