Making of - Andy Warhol by BenHeine Making of - Andy Warhol by BenHeine

____________________________________________________

This is a portrait of Andy Warhol, the famous American Pop artist. The hole in his torso symbolizes the way he survived from an attempted assassination in 1968. Warhol was seriously wounded by the attack and barely survived. He suffered physical effects for the rest of his life. The shooting had a profound effect on Warhol's life and art.

it's enjoyable to look at the development of this, and each stage looks so great in its own way! reminds me of the andy warhol exhibition i saw in prague a few years ago, it wasn't any of his more recognised colourful stuff, all just charcoal sketches.
