I'm Just a Baby by BenHeine I'm Just a Baby by BenHeine

This is a tiny kitten I found in a street in Braives, Belgium. He was totally lost and scared. With a little help, he finally got back to his family safely...

On the picture, I tried to give the baby a huge presence (emphasizing the eyes' expression) and make him look even more fragile...

...but still willing to survive.

The above picture has been shot with the Samsung NX10, provided by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

Little by Little

A poem by Peter S. Quinn

There is always some sign
Giving me purposes letting me find
Little by little I will reline
Reaching my highway leaving behind
All that's nothing without or strong
Penny are wasted never again
Let there be something in this song
That gives me a heart not searching in vain

All or nothing is how I was born
Reaching my aim and my desire
Thoughts are wasted some are wind-borne
Taking their dream higher and higher
Here I'm wanting like everyone distinct
To go ahead cause I gotta find out
We have our time before we go extinct
What we can do what it's all about

Little by little I'm gonna look
Though I don't know exactly where
Aiming for something play by the book
Taking the steps that I might dare
Give what I can before it's too late
Reaching a goal reaching a dream
Isnít life indubitable oh isn't it great
Everyone going ahead with their scheme

This picture is magnificent, I'm surprised the kitten didn't run on you once you found it. This camera is definitely capable of taking great shots while revealing every detail in the picture. You can really see every part of this picture as if you were there with the cat. Every picture is apparently worth 1000 words, and what you did for this cat was fantastic, most people will just randomly take pictures of animals (Kind of like what you have been doing, except you travelling the world and seeing them, which I'm sure is great fun :D ) then forget them after the picture is taken. You, however, helped this poor defenseless little guy back home to his family, adding reason and a backstory to the picture. Your technique in this photo seemed like you wanted to really emphasize the cat, and it turned out well. Often when there is alot of blank space in a shot it will draw away from what you are trying to really show people, but considering the boldness of the colour of the cat clashing with the colour of the ground, it seems to just keep adding on to the shot.

Overall:
18/20

Very impressive, an adorable photo, and the backstory just makes it all the better. Good work!

Hello!
honestly, i love everything about this picture. it's a gorgeous shot, and I'm rather shocked the kitten didn't run! i can also see the kitten's shock well reflected in the eyes. and sheen of his fur shows very nicely as well! i love how you put this in Grayscale, but i think it would have a bit more.. impact had you gray scaled everything BUT the eyes. that would have been a rather nice touch. other then that, i cannot find ANY flaws in this picture! it's also a very nice quality shot as well as beautiful. the kitten's face is also rather priceless, it's a rather neat shot all together!
