The first thing that comes to my mind when I see your picture is not actually that it looks way too foggy, but that this is peaceful. The colors, though they are cool, make me feel comfortable and I love the gradient from the top of the picture further down. In that simple color scheme the goose stands out nicely and through the slightly tilted look it gives something interesting to it, because normally I would find it a little bit boring that the bird is so centered.
However, there are a few things that you could have done different. Even though I like the picture and I think that its simplicity is a great benefit I think that it could have looked good if you would have put the bird a little higher and more of the water in the picture to provide detail. Also, I think that the fog seems a little bit too much, that the bird looks a little too dull, so that you might want to touch up the colors a little bit - just so that the brown stands it a little more.
Still, I really enjoyed looking at this and I still think it's a great piece that gives me a wonderful feeling.
