This is a long exposure shot. It's a real photo. This picture is the result of an improvised collaboration with my long time friend Stoff (make sure to check out his page, there are some amazing creations to view).
I took this photo by night at the seaside in Hastings a few days ago, while I was travelling to the UK for an exhibition in London (Battersea Affordable Art Fair). I lived in Hastings from 2002 to 2003, it was so nice to be there again!
Stoff makes incredible "orbs" by playing with home made light sources. Luckily, Caroline Madison was there with us... I first "flashed" her and then took a 30 sec photo, while stoff was making the magic orb in the middle of the composition.
This photo is dedicated to my friend Marcel De Munnynck, who passed away a few days ago.
This is amazing. I don't know how those lights were created but they surely fullfill their purpose, to amaze the viewer. The whole atmosphere is magical and every detail, the stars, the houses, the model, is perfect. I am truly stunned.
Wow, I know your super power is imagination, which knows no bounds. This is an amazing collaboration which all three of you were part of, now that is art.
i will critique this later, i am rather busy right now. i feel i should critique it because it is a technique i have been attempting to master to a while now, not the light itself, but the making of an orb. you can make fire with glowsticks you know [link] Since you are working with light, i thought you might be interested. you just wave the glowstick around madly in unpredictable patterns.
