This is a quick Flesh and Acrylic demo I made for the Catalan public television "TV3" (Spain). The work in progress was filmed and the video report was broadcasted the 25th of November 2011 along with a short documentary about Art and Surrealism in Belgium.
As always in "Flesh and Acrylic", I worked in a wild and intuitive way.
Model: Julia. She is a journalist and a model in her spare time...
PS: I left the newspapers in the background on purpose.
The above picture and other images from the "Flesh and Acrylic" series have been published in The Sun and The Telegraph in December 2011. _________________________________________________

this is a direction that I had not anticipated. it is fresh and energetic. I do not know how one could actually incorporate the newspaper into the artwork but this piece is all the more amazing from the benefit of the newspaper and the brush strokes transcending the confines of the canvas. it's a brilliant perception to see that incorporation. I also was impressed with the decision to leave part of her flesh exposed. and beyond that I am quite taken with the idea of creative juice so to speak as if the form or figure of the woman is being impregnated with the artwork. really think you are on to something genial with these physical meets paint pieces. much success... this is a great direction and I hope you reap also the financial benefits too. brilliant stuff. I have seen something similar from a couple artists, but I very much like your fresh take. that is why I gave only four stars for originality. one is the Japanese artist who disappears into the paintings. and there is another female artist who is making her models disappear inside her paintings. I think your work is a bit more avante garde than the more classical approach of the female artist. sorry her name escapes me at the moment. anyway, congrats on this foray into new territory. I think it is brilliant.
