I kind of like this picture. Probably color would be more appealing to me, as the b/w takes away the sunset colors from sky and water. B/w makes the picture a bit bland, I can say. However, the composition is very nice. It has a nice flow, the ship seems to be moving, it has this kind of dreamy atmosphere. I almost feel the space, the distance and the breeze. Technically the image is really very good. The tones are great, a bit dark, but they should be. Composition, as I already said, is perfect. The message and emotions are here too. So the only thing is the lack of colors, but I guess it is your message, so I respect it. I assume you wanted the viewer to focus on the dreamy compostion iteself, rather than being distracted by the effects of colors. Probably you are right and it is likely that if I saw the color version, I would prefer b/w...
