This is a large painting on canvas (+- 100 x 130cm) I started last week. I didn't want to finish it so I had the crazy and provocative idea to burn it. Like everything, art is ephemeral. Only a small piece remains, and the photos... Don't misunderstand me, art is precious and I don't like to destroy my work but this was the final purpose of this image.

Life as we know it could be considered ephemeral, yet in burning your artwork it is no more, but the photograph remains which will last a lot longer now that it is online. The artwork looks as if it is smiling with flames coming from its mouth. Some will find this controversial, but I find it to be intriguing. Like the ones shown above, the drawing and fire are what make the picture, great stuff.
A lot of the time, the mere fact that a creation exists makes it (at the very least) an artwork. This picture negates that premise, yet still manages to stand on its own as a form of art. Needless to say, I really enjoy this capture!
