I'm In Love With a Chicken

She is my one and only hen,
All day long she's in her pen,
Pecking away at the seed,
Listening to love poetry that i read.

My fair feathered loved one,
Every night at the setting of the sun,
I think of you and your tiny beak,
If only you could understand the words I speak.

I will love you to the end,
Though you can never be more than a friend,
Some would say i'm love stricken,
For i'm in love with a chicken.
